The Pyrenean Mountain Dog is one of the noblest and handsomest of all Continental breeds. They are strong and trustworthy, and have been used for protective purposes for centuries in South West France. They tend to be quiet and reserved by nature, and limit their strong affections to their own home. Not many have been seen in England as yet, and perhaps the merits of the breed will be better recognised one day.
