The Japanese is a dog which many people confuse with the Pekingese, yet a glance should be sufficient to distinguish them. The extra length of leg and different formation of the jaw will give them away at once, apart from the variation in colouring. Many people will prefer the fascinating, almost cheeky beauty of the Japanese to the rather indignant expression of the average Peke.

The cards illustrated are all scans of the original vintage cards ... they originally came in cigarette packets each card is of a standard size: approx 1½ x 2¾ inches the descriptions on the back were often duplicated or reproduced with little variation.
