The Dingo is the wild dog of Australia, believed to have been introduced there hundreds of years ago by the natives. Since the immense multiplication of rabbits in Australia, the numbers of the Dingo have also greatly increased, and they have become a serious menace to the sheep. There are tame Dingoes as well as wild ones, however. They are not a cultivated breed over here, but Dingoes are sometimes seen at the big dog shows.
